Day 1: Arrival at Guwahati

Arrival at Guwahati, Our representative will escort you for the forwarding journey. Revel in the warm welcome you receive from the hotel staff, complete your check-in procedure and take some rest in your room.
Spend the first day of your Guwahati vacation leisurely. Check out your refreshing surroundings.
End the first day of your Guwahati tour with a peaceful overnight stay at your hotel in Guwahati.

Day 2: Guwahati to Cherrapunji

Post breakfast in the morning, pay a visit to the Kamakhya Temple, a major Hindu pilgrimage site. One of the famous Shakti peethas in the North East India, Kamakhya temple is visited by a million devotees during the Ambubashi festival. Later, hit the road to Cherranpunjee (170 kilometers). It is the region with the highest rainfall. On the way, visit the Borapani Umiam Lake. After you will be transferred to Cherrapunji. Stay overnight in Cherrapunji.

Day 3: Cherrapunji

In the morning after having delicious breakfast in hotel/resort, set off to visit the Krem Mawmluh cave in Cherrapunji. It is located around 0.5 kilometers west of Cherrapunji, next to the small village of Mawmluh. It has five river passages with impressive magnitude. The length of the cave is more than 7 kilometers. Besides, you will also visit the waterfalls in Cherranpunji. Stay overnight at Cherrapunji hotel/resort.

Day 4: Cherrapunji to Shillong

Post breakfast, take a road journey to Shillong, also known as the ‘Scotland of the East’. On the way, visit the Elephanta falls and head straight to Shillong peak to enjoy some breathtaking views. Embark on a sightseeing tour of Shillong. The former capital of Assam, it is the home to the Khasi Highland tribes. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 5: Shillong to Guwahati

After having a delicious breakfast in hotel, you will be transferred to Guwahati. Guwahati is a sprawling city beside the Brahmaputra River in the northeast Indian state of Assam. It’s known for holy sites like the hilltop Kamakhya Temple, featuring shrines to the Hindu deities Shiva and Vishnu. To the east, 18th-century Navagraha Temple is an astronomical center with planetary shrines. Umananda Temple, dedicated to Shiva and covered with engravings, stands on Peacock Island in the river. Overnight stay is at planned at your Guwahati Hotel.

Day 6: Departure

Wake up to a beautiful day and relish a hearty breakfast. A representative will transfer you to the railway station or the airport from where you can board your train/flight back home. The last day of your Shillong- Cherrapunji tour ends here with sweet memories with India Tour Around.
